Melissa Cowle

Attorney

Biography

Divorce, child custody, parental visitation, spousal support, marital agreements, property division … Melissa gets family law. But it’s more than just her considerable professional skills and academic achievements that make her exceptional. Anyone who knows her will tell you that Melissa cares about people. She chose to practice family law because it offers so many opportunities to help people find their way through major life challenges. And her commitment to caring for others extends beyond her practice of law; Melissa serves on the Board of Directors of AiRS (Alliance in Reconstructive Surgery), an organization that assists breast cancer survivors.

“The clients that family law attorneys work with are almost always at a crossroads in their lives – and it’s gratifying to help people find a better path forward. As a matter of fact, this is why I was drawn to Armstrong Law. Everyone here is focused on helping our clients build better futures,” says Melissa. “You’d be surprised how few family law firms actually make that a priority.”

Melissa graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2016. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Southern Methodist University where she was a Distinguished Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society. In addition to her considerable academic achievements, she was also a member of the SMU varsity soccer team, earning recognition on the Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

Most recently, Melissa honed her family law skills at another major North Texas law firm. She has worked for a respected Texas family court judge and is a member of the State Bar of Texas/Family Law Section and the Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association. Melissa is admitted to practice in all state courts in Texas.
